Attended centre on a Sunday for pain in side of face, likely ear infection.
On previous visit with partner, the centre was calm, reception courteous and efficient, doctor friendly and professional. This time, centre buzzing with patients, receptionist curt, mumbled/slightly rude in demeanour and came across poorly. Stress seemed evident. Nurse similarly curt and lacking in warmth. Doctor pleasant and ok with couple of slight reservations: 1. Given I had a possible ear infection the Doctor looked inside one ear than went to check the other ear using the same instrument without cleaning it/changing the nozzle. I asked that the Doctor didn't but was surprised that I needed to, given the possibility of cross infection 2. The Doctor was going to prescribe oral antibiotics (which they can give you there and then) but I asked to have antibiotic drops instead (I've had to take too many antibiotics recently and do not agree with indiscriminate taking if not really needed ). Surprisingly, the Doctor could not write a prescription there and then and had to go out to try to find whatever was needed. I waited perhaps 10 mins. Given the surgery was so busy, this wasn't ideal.
Otherwise, all went ok, and I would use again if my local surgery is inaccessible (too often the case) but there was a sense of the setup buckling under strain, unlike my previous visit.
