"Orthotics at London Road"

My wife is adamant I leave feedback on here, as it does not show on the London Road feedback website!

My son was refered to this department by his consultant over at the Royal Derby. I didn't know what to expect as I had never heard of orthotics before.

When I came to London Road, I did get lost, but the kind staff at the reception near the entrance doors were very friendly and helpful. So pass on my thanks to them, please.

Now, when entering, there was this beautiful gallery of children's colouring, which I found lovely and warming to see!! I've not seen this in other areas before, so I think this is a must for any children's areas!!!!!!!!! I also saw a little girl colouring in, and when the receptionist told her they would put her work up, I could see her gleeing with excitement - this is what kids shoudl experience!

I was greeted very nicely by the receptionist, who was very helpful. The receptionist and their colleauge both came out to play with my son, who is always usually shy. so thank you for settling him in, I think he liked you both! I love they went out of their way to help when they didn't have to.

I felt bad seeing the person having to carry big boxes that only looked heavy.. I wanted to help. there are a lot of boxes out in the corridor which i think would be hazardrous and the room was packed full of huge heavy boxes which is really shocking to see.

The Dr was very helpful and friendly when they saw my son, so again thank you to the doctor. Also I am shocked how busy the department is as the phones were constantly ringing nonstop even though they were being answered, which surprises me more how I never even knew this department existed considering how busy it is!!

Please, please, please thank everyone at orthotics at london road for me, as we have waited 2 weeks for this to show and it's the only way we can show our gratitude...
