"My blood test has gone missing"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

In April 2016 I had a blood test at the Harold Wood Drop In Centre, whose analysis work is, I believe, undertaken by Queens'. Despite both the names of the Drop In Centre and my own practice being on the form, the results have not been returned to either.

This involved 5 different phials of blood - quite a large sample!

What has proved even more frustrating is the difficulty I have had in chasing this up; no response from the haematology dept or messages not returned.

In the end, this will just put more pressure on the whole system, with more doctor's appts required and more visits / time off required.

I think your relationship with Drop In clinics, in particular, needs to be examined to ensure that patients can expect the same service they would from their own practice or if they attended Queens for the test.
