"Pathetic out of hours doctors"

About: Croydon University Hospital

I was seen by an out of office doctor a few days back at this hospital.

Without going into personal details of my condition, these were the experiences I had.

1. When we were following the GP/doctor/whatever their designation was to the appointment, the doctor turned around to 'check out' a woman who was passing by (she was another patient and we had briefly spoken to her in the parking area about parking issues, so we knew she wasn't just one of their colleagues). The 'checking out' did not impact us, but was unprofessional.

2. When I explained my condition, the doctor continuously negated everything I said and refused to take a test swab despite my condition persisting for 3 weeks before seeing a GP person.

3. Just because the symptoms (swelling etc) were not present at that time, the doctor refused to believe it was swollen earlier (worst communication skills I have ever seen) and refused to do any further tests.

Considering we pay tax money for these people's salaries, can we not expect just objective tests and not their 'opinions' on any condition?

Can we as citizens not have the right to demand a test swab just for peace of mind?

I have been misdiagnosed in the past , hence really really need a law in place to be able to take a test when I have done enough research on my condition. Taking a test doesn't really hurt anyone, does it? Paying my tax money into the NHS is seeming more and more redundant day by day if I cannot even get a simple test. If I have to go private for smallish things, I might as well stop paying into the pot of money going towards the NHS.
