About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Just moved to the area, Great efficient service by the medical staff, even got to meet the sister so I could tell her how much better the service was than my previous hospital, and how I felt at ease after my consultation.

Disappointed as I left to make my next appointment as I wasn't expecting to be told off and being made to feel small by the bombastic receptionist for standing in the wrong place.

In my defense,

It was my first visit and you cant see the signs as you leave the waiting area as they are badly placed, and you might want to explain to the receptionists that you put drops in our eyes which make reading very difficult at the time, and perhaps you could look at making those waiting areas with the barriers a bit more clearer and put the signs where you can see them.

Thank you to the other receptionist, who felt the need to apologize on their colleagues' behalf

We're pleased to hear your consultation went well, but very sorry to hear of your experience at reception. Your comments have been passed on to the managers of the eye unit who will raise them with the staff. Thank you for posting this so that we can do something about it.
