My husband was admitted to the surgical daycare unit at Stracathro recently for removal of kidney stones. I telephoned earlier in the week regarding his admission and spoke to the charge nurse who was very helpful and gave reassurance regarding his treatment. Yesterday we traveled from Perth to Stracathro for his admission, from the time we arrived everyone without exception was very kind and welcoming. The staff were very attentive, taking time to give clear explanations to our queries. The day room for visitors and patients was very comfortable, TV, magazines and colouring books! ! The care my husband received was superb, the unit is lovely, clean and tidy, nothing was too much bother. He was discharged home in the evening with plenty aftercare advice. It was a very positive experience when so much negativity surrounds the NHS. Thank you to all the staff.
