"Birth Unit and Delivery Suite"

We had our son at Gloucester Royal last week. Started off in the Birth Unit but was transferred to the Delivery Suite when labour failed to progress. All of the staff involved in looking after us were outstanding. They were hugely empathetic and reassuring, but also highly professional and competent. All their recommendations for managing what was a reasonably complex labour were clearly explained to us and our views were respected. As a result we understood what was going on, and had total confidence in the staff's judgment about my care. This helped turn a potentially very stressful experience into a positive one. I also spent two nights on the Maternity Ward. Again, all staff excellent - we had particularly good advice on establishing feeding which helped me over some early hurdles. We are very grateful for the care my son and I received at Gloucester Royal and would happily recommend both Birth

Unit and Delivery Suite to anyone.
