(as the patient),

I would just like to pass on my thanks and express my appreciation to the radiographer whom I saw recently.

Whilst I did thank her personally at the time, I wanted others to know that the experience was not at all unpleasant and that the female member of staff (I'm so sorry that I didn't get her name) was very professional, gentle, reassuring and polite.

The reception staff member was also very welcoming, the mammogram waiting area was quiet and clean, the X-ray suite itself was spotless and comfortable and the whole experience was as good as it could have been.

At a time when morale in public services is generally low, I thought it was important to let you know that I think you are doing a great job! Thank you.

Dear Jop, Thank you for your lovely expression of thanks. I am pleased to hear that your experience was not unpleasant and exceeded your expectations.

I would like to know which site you did attend, as you may not be aware that we recently opened our new mammography suite at East Surrey Hospital and any feed back on this new equipment is nice to have. Whilst it would be good to pass the praise to the individual mammographer, I can tell you the team who perform these procedures is very small and I will make them all aware of this positive feedback.

No problems JoP, I think initially it said Horsham Breast,but since patients do travel across sites I wanted to make sure I passed on your lovely comments to the correct people.

I can confirm I have passed on your thoughts to the team involved who were delighted.
