As I was leaving the office in London this evening at around 7pm I got a text from my wife saying that she has unbearable pain in her left side shoulder and can’t lift her arm. Being cautious and afraid that she might be having a hart attach she took a bus to Addenbrooke's A&E where I met up with here and waited to see the DR, who we only managed to see after 10pm. I have always had tremendous respect for medical professionals but am flummoxed with what I experienced this evening. In my life I have never felt anything like I have this evening not even when I was at school and in trouble caught and in front of the headmaster in his office being reprimanded. It wasn’t an examination but an interrogation filled with insinuations, no compassion or sympathy. It is with shock and dismay that I am writing this. Where are the Doctors when they needed, we left still not knowing what went wrong, feeling better or having any emotional comfort, but more worried, frustrated and even angry? Fantastic way to end the day. Thank you ……
