"Hell of a time in A&E Majors"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I was recently admitted to A&E with chest pains and palpitations. I was quickly triaged to Majors and was happy with my care to this point.

Once in Majors I was astonished at the chaotic nature of the department, there were only four available bays with beds, the patients including me had to sit in a waiting area within the department until called? There was no privacy when discussing with doctor nurse, I even had my blood taken in the waiting area? I was feeling pretty worried and in a little discomfort but was left to wait for at least two hours!

The staff were friendly and professional when you actually got to see them but the disorganisation was impactful on both staff and patients
