Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in sending my heart felt thanks (no pun intended). I have been busy moving house amongst other things.
My son Jafar had a VSD repaired at LGI over the Christmas (2015) holiday.
I have not had the opportunity, as yet, to thank the consultant personally - but I hope to very soon.
I would just like to highlght the exceptional care and compassion shown by the consultant during Jafar's treatment and stay at hospital. I cannot thank the consultant (and their entire team on the wards) enough for the care they showed during Jafar's operation and recovery. The consultant would take time to talk to us any time we wanted to, even when they were eating chocolates of the nurses desk! It was nice of them to phone us to tell us that Jafar had come out of the theatre and we could see him. It is "small" kindnesses like this that made the difficult situation for us, as parent, easier.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to the consultant and all their team - including all the nurses and helpers in both wards that Jafar was in.
One additional thing, can you please also pass on my warmest regards to the doctor and their team for the post op care. I will be seeing the doctor again next week and will thank the doctor in person.
Jafar loved the presents he got on Christmas day. His smile lasted a week! Thank you.
