"What a waste of time!"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

On 17th April 2016 my 32 year old son was beaten with a 4x4 peice of wood by two thugs. He sustained a laceration to the forehead/swollen face and leg. He arrived at PAH at 02.50 with 2 policemen who stayed with him and then took his clothes for evidence! We arrived at 03.00. He was put in the Eye Assessement room next to the Ambulance Assessment. He got forgotten about. Had it not been for me chasing for medication for the pain and getting someone to finally look at him at 07.00 he would still be there! The doctors excuse was they didn't know where the Eye Room was! It took one and a half hours to find a doctor to sew up his face - apparrently the trolley was not set up correctly for sewing up so everyone was running around like headless chickens trying to find needles/gauze/surgical gloves etc!. No x-rays were taken for the blows that he took to his face or leg by the wood.

We finally left the department at 08.30.

What a sad excuse for a hospital!
