I've recently visited the Centre for a throat infection. The only positive thing was the kindness of the staff.
Said this, I would like to report some worrying instances happened:
- The nurse who was visiting me had to look up / google for several drug names and potential treatments for my symptoms.
- I was eventually prescribed antibiotics. However, the pharmacist I took the prescription to found out that the prescribed dose was far less than the necessary to complete a full course. Secondly, the prescription was not signed, so I had to return to the centre loosing a considerable amount of time.
I suppose it's well known what kind of important risks are associated to not taking the right amount of antibiotics.
I would hope to believe what happened was something occasional, but I will definitely not visit the centre again if this is the representative sample of the staff's preparation.
