I gave birth here in the early hours of the 21st of January 2015 and I was very pleased overall with the care I recieved. I am expecting my second baby in November 2016 and plan on going back to DMH.
The staff were wonderful, particularly the day staff. The senior midwife who took over my care in the morning communicated very well to me. I had a very long wait to be discharged and the midwife kept me well informed throughout. I'm hoping they are my named midwife next time!
They are an asset to the profession!
The midwives were very patient while I was in labour, which I fully appreciate as I perhaps wasn't the best patient but I did try and keep them humoured too. It's a difficult job, I think they were busy that night too or short-staffed as they kept leaving me during labour but I have no idea if this is normal. But I was very happy with the way they treat me and I hope this review is read by a midwife. Keep up the good work, you all do a fabulous job under so much pressure!
