"So sad."

Yes, it's not the ground troops' fault. Yes they are skilled people trying to do their best in a chronically underfunded NHS. However, they must surely feel such sadness and shame at what has happened to this once great institution.

Mine is just one trivial case and yet it says so much about the pitiful state of NHNN and the wider NHS:

Firstly, the letter I received was inaccurate about my appointment's nature.

Secondly, I was asked in at 8am and am now writing this at 3pm. - having had no attention.

I have not been able to eat since midnight.

No clear idea of when I might be seen.

Last time I was here they lost my notes.

It's not all about underfunding. Some basic organisation skills would help. I very much doubt that I will get any senior-level apology, and the saddest part is I doubt if they are that bothered.

Still sat in the same chair, with no food or drink, after over 7 hours of waiting.
