"A&E 1St May 2016"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

My husband is in the latter stages of dementia and had to be taken to a&e on Sunday 1st of May 2016. I attended with him and, although it was busy, he was dealt with professionally, speedily and with dignity. We were there 4 hours but that was no problem and to be expected at busy times. Thank you to all the staff involved in sorting out what was wrong and putting my mind at rest.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to the Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn Hospital with your husband and thank you for taking the time to do so.

It is lovely to receive such positive feedback and to hear that your husband was treated professionally, speedily and with dignity.

We always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care and I will ensure your comments are passed on to the team.

If you would like to talk through your visit with one of our Patient Experience team so we can understand the bits of your experience that made this such a good visit for you and your husband we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services.

You can either contact me (Melissa Almond) on 01254 734087 or email me on melissa.almond@elht.nhs.uk

Many thanks and Best wishes
