Having attended a amd e I have to commend all of the staff. From the moment my husband and I walked to the front desk of a and e, we were triaged promptly and taken through to Majors C where we seen straight away. My thanks go especially to the sister in charge, who was caring, and friendly. They picked up in symptom relief, and went out of their way to make myself and my husband feel that everything was being done. I was seen by a dr who took measures to ensure they had my relatively complex history correct, and then they explained the medical plan, including the scans required, and the pain relief plan also. I was treated and stablilsed, then I was taken to the Evan Jones ward for a short time, where I once more treated well by the nursing staff, receiving a meal (with a menu choice, this is unheard of in my local hospital!) and then was seen by a second Dr who updated us on my results, and what would happen next. All in all, my opinion is that these healthcare professionals at St Thomas' really show how exemplary the NHS should be, truly gold standard care. Well done to all, and thank you.
