"amazing nurse helping my autistic son"

About: Llandudno General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had crushed his right ring finger between his handles and a wall when out riding his bike with his brother. We couldn't get a gp appointment so advised us to pop to the gp outpatients at Llandudno hospital. After being introduced to a wonderful dark haired nurse called Tessa my son went into sensory over load and wanted to touch EVERYTHING and ask every question imaginable. She was amazing. My son is older but mentally around 5 and this wonderful amazing nurse made him feel so at ease. After the xray which was slightly challenging on many level Tessa was waiting for my son as he walked back. Giving him a huge hug and then showing him his xrays of his fingers on her computer even letting him take his chair right next to hers. And when it was time to leave she gave him a sticker and a wonderful certificate of bravery. Cant thank her enough as I was absolutely dreading going but all on her own with just the way she was with him put me at ease and him..enough to co-operate. So so pleased and thankful xxx
