I had an angina attack and the paramedic called an ambulance to take me to hospital. The closest hospital to my house in calne is the GWH in Swindon. But I explained about the poor treatment I had received there. These include frequent appointment cancellations, having food poisoning ,medication causing pulse to drop dangerously low, being sent home from A&E 3 times with an artery blockage. I explained that I personally had no faith in the GWH and that I had been receiving exemplary treatment at Salisbury and requested that they took me there.
They explained my request to their control and it was agreed to take me to Salisbury.
The treatment I received at Salisbury from Triage admission onto the ward and my subsequent treatment could not be better. Even during the Doctors strike service was continued on Tisbury ICU ward and the cardiac suite.
I would like to thank all those involved in my treatment, from the Paramedic, the Ambulance crew Shaw and Hannah and all the staff, doctors and consultants at Salisbury Hospital
"Excellent treatment at Salisbury General"
