About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Surgery (Ward 5)

(as the patient),

I was sent to Hairmyres Hospital by my GP and admitted into ward 4.

Both the doctors and nurses were excellent, however, I would like to take the opportunity thank the nursing staff Ellie, Linzi, Paula, Marcos and Paul in Ward 4. The staff work extremely hard and they treat all the patients extremely well. Patient care is very high in this ward and the hospital should be proud.

There was a lovely lady on the bed opposite me and all she did was rave 24 hours a day about how good Marcos was with her, and I have to say he was absolutely amazing!

Thank you to the doctors and nurses in ward 4 for taking such good care of me.

Dear DF,

Thank you for taking the time to post your excellent experience on the site. I know you have already spoken with our Chief of Nursing Susan Friel and I have passed your lovely comments to Ward 4 staff.

It is very uplifting for the staff (and for me) to hear such wonderful comments in light of our drive to achieve a person centred service with care and compassion.
