I was taken to A&E following a domestic accident 14th April Seen and admitted within 30 minutes and on a ward ((orthopaedic trauma ward) within 2 hours having been seen by orthopaedic registrar who did a fabulous job ensuring no further damage.
Teams of surgeons visited over the next couple of days and I had an operation on day 3 - discharged on day 5 after visits from Physiotherapists and Occupational Health with all appropriate backup and support.
Cannot praise the whole staff sufficiently - surgical, medical, nursing and support staff were all quite outstanding and your "inadequate" rating is totally beyond me.
The medical and nursing care was, without doubt, the best I have every experienced and the mood on the ward cheerful but professional at all times. I particularly take my hat off to the nursing and support staff who are coping with, in many cases, elderly people with dementia issues and their empathy and understanding is way beyond their job description!
The discharge lounge also deserve praise for their kindness and efficiency.
I am guessing they don't get much feedback but they are marvellous too!
Altogether such a delightful experience I was almost sorry to leave!
Well done to all teams - you certainly restore all my faith in the NHS.
