My husband was treated here for bowel cancer & had major surgery. From diagnosis to after-care he was treated with kindness & respect. I have been a patient in several UK hospitals & also in Canada & I can honestly say that this hospital has been the best of them all.
The staff & volunteers are a credit to this place & should be very proud of the fine work that they do. A hospital of this size could feel a bit chaotic but it doesn't. It is a calm, efficient & well-organised place & I, for one, find it comforting to know that should I need medical attention, I will be fortunate enough to be able to attend the Royal Derby.
