I was in A & E early this morning 25th April, the service in A & E was outstanding.
I was moved eau for the night where I got little sleep or rest.
From there I went for a CT scan, again excellent service.
After the scan I was moved to acu where I waited to be seen.
The staff were run off their feet to the point where patients were being over looked,
I arrived in this unit at about 10.00am and was not seen until 2.30pm, the doctor I saw was very vague and really didn't have the time they needed to do their job effectively.
I was seen again at just after 3pm where I was discharged, however I still had my cannula in my arm and was waiting for medication.
This took another two hours! I had to ask to have my cannula removed as the nurses remained very busy and I was again over looked.
I received dreadful service in the ACU unit and would be worried if I ever had to be transferred there again.
"Left waiting for 7 hours without a drink or food"
