"unsympathetic"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Took my brother to R1 for a procedure. He is elderly frail and terrified. I got him as close to his destination as possible to limit the walk. We were admitted by a nurse who was abrupt ,rushing and without feelings. No explanations, little or no information just refusal to let me help him through. They even asked how long he was staying as if we new. Don't they teach bedside manner anymore? don't they have information before hand.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. It is always our aim to deliver high quality care to our patients . We're sorry to hear that your stay on R1 did not meet with your expectations. Every effort is made to look after the individual needs of the patient. We're sorry that this did not happen during your recent visit.

The matron has discussed your concerns with the ward manager who will speak to the staff it is important that concerns are raised by patients and relatives in order for us to improve.
