What I liked

The nice combination of informality and professional presence which was both relaxing and reassuring. From being picked up at home, received at the hospital, transfer to the theatre, post operative care and feeding thru to my transport home I could not fault my stay at the hospital.

What could be improved

I was admitted to the hospital for investigative and, appropriate corrective surgery. The actual surgery carried out out, being dependent on the investigative stage was unknown to me and not communicated to me until I asked, immediately prior to my discharge. I would have felt more at ease if the outcome of the investigation could have been communicated to me on my return from surgery rather than have to wait (albit only 24 hours).

Anything else?

My experience of the hospital was first class. Every single employee I met with in all areas of the hospital should feel able to speak with pride of their association with Scunthorpe General.
