"Elderly father poorly cared for"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

Because of the poor diagnosis and incorrect ward assignment to the Meadow palliative care unit - our late father did not receive the basic physiotherapy that was recommended. Some 12 weeks later, he was referred back to A10 for rehab - however due to lack of initial physiotherapy by the staff at the Meadow, he was no longer able to function and was completely bed bound and double incontinent.

All of this has been complied from reviewing his medical notes and confirmed by Stockport NHS Clinical Commission Group. We feel that this was disgraceful care of an elder patient.
