"Neurologist did not follow protocol of..."

About: Barnsley Hospital

Neurologist took blood test July 2015 - positive for Lupus anticoagulant - consistent with symptoms I was and am still experiencing.

This test should have been repeated 12 weeks later, instead they tested for double strand DNA.

GP repeated LA test in January - still positive.

I would like an explanation as to why this consultant chose to ignore the protocol of re-testing after 12 weeks?
