I rang the 111 service, what a load of rubbish and waste of time. My son was very poorly with what we thought was tonsillitis and a quinsy, he could not speak, eat and hardly drink, all I got from the 111 was it was a sore throat, I knew it was more than that and told the girl on the phone what I thought it was to no advice or guidance at all, in the end I told them we were going to the emergency dept, where my son was diagnosed with grade 3 tonsillitis and a quinsy abscess and was kept in hospital. The 111 system is useless and they obviously just go off a computer and do not listen to the person on the phone, I won't ring them ever again as a complete waste of my time and just frustrating.
