"Well Done Southend Hospital"

I recently developed an infection following Chemotherapy . I was instructed to go to A & E at Southend where I was given immediate attention;

Fast Tracked through A & E where I saw a number of doctors and felt confident that all was being sorted.

Then onto Bedwell Ward where I had an overnight stay under close observation.

I was then transferred to Elizabeth Loury Ward where I spent a very comfortable 5 night stay under close observation while my infection was sorted out. The attention from all the staff in the “Pod” area where my room was located was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, and they made me feel special. When it came for me to leave and my medication was not ready one of the lovely nurses brought it to me at home after their shift at 9pm!!

Well done all at Southend for me you were great.
