"disorganised and on a shoestring"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

I have been referred by my doctor with pain around gallbladder thought could be gallstones or infections . Put on nil by mouth for two days thought would be in one day. Then couldn't do op cause wasn't given injection or stockings to prevent bloodclott in advance. Told them when I got there I really do need to drink water as suffer from headaches/migranes still told could not drink water, I understand they don't know when things are happening but I then had headaches and was put on iv for fluids . Kept saying I suffer from migraines. I then asked after my scan can I drink water a bit now. Still no asked to see doctor told they were coming. Told this 5 times finally got to see one about 9 am this morning. By this time I had a full blown migraine felt extremely sick. Felt sorry for some staff could tell they were being worked to the bone and very limited staff - but so much misinformation going on, sent home with anti sickness tablets could need even give my prescription migraine tablet. Have to go back as outpatient to have gallbladder removed really quite sceptical now
