"Long wait for ENT Crosshouse Hospital"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as the patient),

I  was told 12 week waiting time.

I was referred at the end of November for an urgent appointment but was not classed as urgent and downgraded to 12 weeks. After phoning many times and on the short notice list I was eventually seen in mid April!

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Benjamina,

I am really sorry you had such a long wait. I know the team has been working hard to address waiting times which is of no comfort to you I am sure. I will ensure the senior management team are aware of your experience however I am sure this is top of their priority already. Thank you for feeding this back to us, it really does help to highlight where we are in service delivery and helps us to understand the experiences of our patients.

I hope your ENT issue is sorted now.

Kind regards,

Eunice
