"Lack of maintenance of the toilets"

My wife had an appointment as she was unwell. We contemplated cancelling but decided it was too important as it concerned her heart. She had suffered sickness and diahorea that morning but we arrived at 08. 30 and she needed to use your toilets on the ground and first floor. They had broken toilets seats, sink full of vomit and the toilet on the first floor didn't flush and had excrement that couldn't be flushed away. Without a proper functioning toilet she sought assistance from one of the offices and was sick in a waste paper bin but was helped by one of your staff. In my opinion a hospital of your size should provide a better service to your patients and not subject your staff to problems that can be easily rectified with proper maintenance and cleaning management.

I am so sorry to read of your poor experience, and am in complete agreement that the maintenance and functioning of the washroom facility must be to a higher standard. Please accept my sincere apologise to you and your wife for what happened. If you ever experience this in future please know that you can always alert a member of staff who will ensure the area is cleaned and sanitised immediately.

I am relieved that someone was able to assist and thank you for leaving a comment which I have ensured is passed on to the Estates and Facilities team.
