"Walk in Centre at Hallamshire"

About: Walk-in Centre

(as the patient),

I would like to share my experience of attending Walk in Centre in Hallamshire Hospital. I was shocked with waiting time and nurses treatment, I was so ill and the only thing they wanted to give me was Paracetamol, I insisted of being admitted to hospital because I knew myself I was not well, chest infection, Temperature of 38.2 but still they told to go home.

Anyway thanks God I am well now but I will not go there again.

I am sorry that your experience at the Walk-in Centre was not a positive one and that you felt so unwell.

We aim to see all patients within 4 hours and most people are seen and assessed much more quickly than this. In most cases this is still quicker than booking an appointment at a GP.

If you were not admitted or given treatment it is because your assessment did not indicate it was necessary. We base our service on national standards and all our staff are trained and monitored to make sure that we keep to them. If you feel that your assessment was below standard I can look into this for you.

I am glad that you are now feeling better and hope that your next experience of the NHS is a better one.
