I had an appointment in the Outpatients orthopaedic dept today 14/4/2016 at 10:45.
At 11:45 I was still waiting!
I gave up all hope of being seen and went.
To add insult to injury, I read my appointment letter only to inform me that I might not be seen by a consultant.
My appointment was a follow up appointment and I needed answers to a medical condition that was not straight forward, so what was the point of the appointment, if I may not be able to speak to a consultant.
I appreciate that the NHS have serious cut backs, but so do others who are working and have to deal with the fall out of the heavy work load.
Spare a thought for patients that work and have to also deal with cut backs and consider unacceptable waiting times for them too.
Telling us when we get into the dept that there is approx. 1 hour waiting time for treatment is not helpful (it is too late then) and I wasn't having treatment, so also consider this in your reply back to this review
