What I liked
From my first out patient appointment (Orthopaedics) until discharge I was a human being. I was treated with courtesy and kindness by every healthcare professional I met. The care and attention in the Day Surgery unit was exceptional - they were incredibly busy but had time for every single patient and their relatives. The doctors took great care in explaining every thing. I couldn't have asked for greater care.
What could be improved
The attitude of the clerical staff. They were appallingly rude to patients and staff alike. I nearly left because of their appalling behaviour. As the first face of the unit they do it a great injustice.
Anything else?
I have nothing but praise for the consultant surgeon, anaesthetist and the nurses.
