"A&E"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

At a recent visit to the A&E department i found the staff from the receptions to the consultants to be friendly and professional.

The only issue i had was the nurse taking bloods who went out of their way to tell me they hated the place and most of the people in the waiting room were not as ill as them self. They went on the say most were only there because they couldnt get an appt with their own doctors. When i said i had been referred from the out of hour doctor they said that was typical they didnt want to do anything themselves. They stated they would be glad when it was 8pm when they left. they made me feel like a time waster and i would have complained there and then but they were not wearing a name badge.

thankfully all other staff were a credit

Thank you for your comments. I'm very sorry that you experienced an unpleasant visit and were made to feel unwelcome.

I will pass on your comments to the A&E Management team so they receive this feedback. I am pleased that these negative comments were only by one person and that the rest of the team looked after you well.

Kind regards

The Patient Experience Team
