"Eight weeks ago my wife was refered ..."

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

(as the patient),

Anything else?

Eight weeks ago my wife was refered to the dermatology clinic by her GP.Since then she has not heard anything. She is aware that there is a 63 days wait to see a Doctor in this department but why does take so long to allocate an appointment.Does the 63 days wait start from when she was refered or when an appointment can be allocated.

I do think it would be in the patient`s interest if they could be advised of the progress of there referal instead of leaving them wondering if there referal is beeing attended to.

It seems that you have been referred via the Choose and Book system and your GP may not have advised you correctly as to the process. If we could have your details it would help us to ascertain the situation. If you call the outpatient appointments department at the hospital on 0845 1270193, they may be able to help you further.
