About: Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

My 9 month old son, Rufus, had a 2 night stay at the Hospital. Nurses were very friendly and helpful, very good bedside manner. In particular Julie. All took very good care of Rufus. Very pleasant doctors. Explained things well and answered all our questions.

What could be improved

Communication and time it took for us to be seen by registrar in the assessment area on level 6. Was nearly 5 hours before we knew Rufus had to stay in hospital.

Anything else?

The air conditioning unit in his room on level 9 was not good for him or his mum (who stayed with him overnight) Noisy and blowing directly onto them, uncomfortable .
