About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

It's no exaggeration that the staff at this hospital (and the paramedics) saved my Dad's life. I think there are challenges relating to the overall hospital environment/layout/accessibility especially as this is a regional center for several medical specialties. However, the care was second to none. A huge thanks to the consultant and their team and the staff on ICU & level 8. Greatly appreciated - the NHS at its finest.

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your Dad's experience in ICU and Level 8. I agree that we have huge challenges in terms of our hospital estate, which will be resolved once the new hospital is completed - although this will not be for about 5 years.

I am delighted to hear that your Dad's experience was positive and that there was a good outcome when he was gravely ill. I have passed this onto the teams involved in your care and I know that they will really appreciate your kind words.

I hope that he is recovering well.
