I had self pay surgery in Dec 2015 and it felt like I was staying in a five star hotel. The staff were brilliant.

I had NHS-funded surgery in March 2016 and it felt like I was staying in a prison. Awful room, bed, decor, food, etc.

Fortunately, the staff, especially the nurses, were still very very kind and caring.

Massive drop in standards for NHS patients. Disappointing as we all have the same pain and needs.
