"Care provided doing minor injuries unit"

About: Tavistock Hospital / Minor injuries unit

(as the patient),

I went to a local minor injuries with a pain in my foot after being sent home from work due to the pain. It was x-rayed and I was told there was nothing wrong and I could go back to work. was not advised to take anything for do any exercises, I would told the pain would go away on its own.. The nurse who treated me was very pleasant.

I went back to work despite the pain as I was told it was nothing to worry about. A week later I received a phone called saying that they had missed a fracture and could I come in to have my foot put in cast. When I arrived back at the minor injuries I was treated by the same nurse. This time she was very rude and blunt and made no effort to appologise for the mistake.

I understand that things can be missed but I was very unhappy with the care I was given when I did come back to the minor injuries unit.
