"Awful experience of emergency unit A and E"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

arrived at heartland at 10 ish with my mom, with severe head injury.

blood coming out from back of head and not seen for 1 and a half hours

nurse was rude and did not seem caring at all (I thought their attitude was awful).

eventually went in assessment room left for another 30 minutes still blood pouring. no sign if any one, I asked for a nurse who was unhelpful and texting.

eventually first doc came, who was rude. Then 2nd doc came and was good as gold, and treated my mom and said its unacceptable service, the amount of blood lost.

then another nurse came to transfer to ct scan, nurse seemed half asleep when carrying out duty. I feel most of our experience was awful.

Thank you for taking the time to provide details of your recent attendance to Heartlands Hospital with your Mom following a head injury.

Firstly, may I convey my best wishes to your mom for a speedy recovery and I do hope that she is already feeling much better.

I am disappointed to read your post and you have concerns about some of the staff attitude you encountered when seeking treatment and support for your mother.
