What I liked
When I was seen in A&E the nurses and the doctors were extremely helpful, efficient and caring. I felt the doctor treating me was very thorough. I had a severe rash over 95% of my body and was in considerable discomfort. I left the department feeling very reassured by all the staff there. I should especially like to thank the doctor who treated me.
What could be improved
On the day I attended A&E, the conditions outside were extremely icey which resulted in a LOT of people attending A&E. As such, I was there for nearly 6 hours. There were only 2 doctors for the department. I felt the staff were overworked with the volume of people needing their attention, so if anything could be improved, it would to be to have more staff.
Anything else?
A side issue of this is having to feed the meter in the car park. Not knowing how long you are to be makes pay and display a worrying thing. It is bad enough waiting for treatment without having to worry about whether or not your vehicle will be clamped.
