"It was only a little thing that could have made a difference"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Maternity

(as the patient),

When I was 12 days after due date, I was supposed to be induced but it was said to me that I have to wait as they don't have any beds left.

Later on in the evening I went with my partner to the the maple ward due to some pains. About 2 hours proper contractions started but I was said to go home. In about half an hour we came down to labour ward as I was sure that I am in labour. Midwife took us to room and was completely horrible towards me and my partner and examined me during contraction even I begged to. wait until it finish. Instead of it they just gave me gas and air and pethidine (hoped for meds free birth).

Thanks god later on another midwife who was nice and sweet even didn't respect a birth plan (wanted be able to move around, choose birth position, be informed about everything what's going on etc...).

After that I just gave up on my plans and asked for epidural. I didn't get it due to fast labour. When I called on midwife that I need to push and I feel baby's head she ignored me and continued saying that they'll examine me in about hour. My son was born 5 mins later. Because of tearing I was taken to theatre where I was catheterized without even telling me. And there started my problems.

Catheter was removed after 2 hours as I could walk and insisted on catheter being removed as it was painful. Midwifery assistant who came said to me that it can't be painful and when I said that it is she said told me to shut up, called me a drama queen and said she wasn't interested in my complaining.

Since leaving hospital I have constant problems with bladder as well as to know that something was inserted into my body without asking me (I Have personal reasons for that). And it was only a little thing what could make a difference;  read a birth plan and talk to me.

Already contacted PALS but without response.
