"Disgraceful"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

My 4 year old is under the specialist at the ENT clinic due to having a polyp and I visited A&E today because his ear was bleeding and it looks as though the polyp was coming out of his ear to be told it's nothing to worry about and prescribed ear drops and sent us on our way! I'm furious as he now has to stay the way he is for a further 2 weeks until his operation or until he's bleeding non stop which I find disgraceful for a doctor to say this to happen to a 4 year old child!! You put your trust in the doctors to make sure your children and yourselves are treated with the best care but you don't....

We realise how worrying it can be for parents when their child is not well. However, polyps do not usually need treatment at an A and E department. It is difficult for us to comment on your child's individual circumstances from your posting, but their specialist would be able to advise.
