My husband was admitted to BVH With A pleural Effusion - it was quickly diagnosed and operated on by the consultant - he received outstanding care and treatment both before - during - and after the operation - he was discharged into the care of the District Nurses and again their care was faultless.

During his recuperation we have needed to ask the consultant for their advice and reassurance - the consultant has given us this on three occasions - after operating during the day - the consultant spared time to see us on Ward 38 - they are an outstanding Surgeon and has a wonderful manner - we are extremely grateful to the consultant - also the staff of ICCU and Ward 38 - the treatment he received could not have been better - my husband was in hospital during Christmas and on Christmas morning every patient received a bag full of presents ! A wonderful gesture ! Thank you .

Thank you for taking the time to leave positive feedback following your husband’s surgery in December 2016.

I am really pleased to hear that the Consultant, staff on ICCU and Ward 38, and the District Nurses were able to ensure that your husband’s experience was positive. The attitude and approach of our staff is critical to delivering quality care and I am pleased that they were able to reassure you both. I know the teams, that you have identified, will be glad to see your comments, which I will share with them, and wish me to pass on their own appreciation.
