"a real lottery"

The last time (on referral by my GP), before this visit, that I visited A&E with AF the triage nurse told me that there was nothing wrong with me but if I wanted to see a doctor I would have to wait at least six hours. I foolishly drove home, I felt too unwell to argue! This time I was at least taken more seriously with 160bpm and AF. Unfortunately even though the cause of the AF was unknown, I was discharged before the results of the blood test came back, which would have told the doctors that I had low potassium levels, probably caused by my BP tablets. When I left I was still feeling very unwell as I had AF, 90bpm and my blood pressure was slightly up. I was also discharged without potassium tablets or anti-coagulants. My GP was absolutely appalled with the doctors' lack of concern and potentially dangerous actions. This feels like situation normal at East Surrey.

When I left the A&E department there were many empty cubicles and the reception was very quiet.
