My local Medical Centre in Portishead is closed during the weekend - and so, seeking some medical advice for an injured toe, I drove to Clevedon Minor Injuries Unit. I was seen promptly by very friendly staff who suggested I may need an X-ray. The staff were extremely helpful in outlining the hospitals in the area that could offer me the service that day, or I could return to Clevedon on Monday.
I chose to take the option of having the X-ray at Weston General. Again, all the members of staff I met were extremely kind and helpful. I felt I was dealt with in a very clam and professional manner - even when my consultation was interrupted by an emergency. Although there was some expected waiting time to be seen I didn't feel that this was excessive.
All-in-all the whole process made me very greatful for the NHS and the wonderful work that its staff perform. Thank you!
