What I liked

I was dreading having to stay in hospital for my operation but I was very pleasantly surprised. The vast majority of the staff (particularly in surgery) were so lovely, the ward was cleaned regularly and the food was very good. I have heard so many negative comments about the hospital which I can't understand as that wasn't my experience at all.

What could be improved

The doctors (apart from the anaesthetist who was wonderful and very reassuring) didn't tell me very much about my treatment at all.

Thank you for your positive comments posted on the Trust website. It was good of you to comment on the care you received at North Tyneside General Hospital.

However, I was concerned to hear of your experience around the medical staff. I will discuss this in the appropriate forum.
