Although I don't doubt for a second others experiences and reviews I do find them surprising. I myself have been under the care of aire court CMHT since it first opened and previous to that I was with the same CHMT at bridge house hunslet, so it fair to say I have a lot of experience with the service from doctors, consultants, nurse see and receptionists. Over the years I have worked with a number of people who have all shown me absolute compassion, care, respect, understanding, support, dignity and equality.
I do share the frustrations of others regarding the telephone service and it being near impossible some days to reach anyone, which I in my times of need find incredibly difficult and unexeptable. Although thankfully this is a regular occurrence but I do often find I have to call a few times to reach someone which isn't good but when I do finally speak to a receptionist I always find them to be kind, caring and helpful.
I myself struggle immensely with BPD and experience some truly difficult times that are exhausting, frustrating, challenging and hard work but not just for me but I'm sure for those who work with me too but never has anyone given me the slightest inclination that they feel this way. All I've ever experienced is absolute professionalism to the highest standard from all staff and found the level of care, understanding and compassion to be overwhelming especially given how over worked and under staff they are and with the many cuts to mental health services. I have always been included in my care plan and my thoughts and feelings have always been considered. I have been treated as an equal and listened to.
I find and wholeheartedly believe aire court has some of the most gifted nurses and consultants in Britain and I'm thankful each and every day for their utmost care which has never faltered in the many years I've been with them. Thanks to the CMHT at aire court I'm alive today.
Thank you.
